20 jaar BERLIN
BERLIN is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this fall with a series of performances in Ghent—an excellent start to its trajectory as an NTGent house artist. Make some room in your calendar from Sept. 26 to Oct. 12 for Zvizdal, True Copy, The making of Berlin, and Wie oud wordt... .
BERLIN also looks back at the past 20 years with YouTurn, a new label for which it is opening up its archives. Barbara Raes/Beyond the Spoken takes on the onion machine from Land's End for her project with VictoriaDeluxe: One Day I Will Make the Onion Cry. From Oct. 4 to 12 at De Expeditie. BERLIN is handing over the red tent from its production Moscow, which will rise on the Sint-Baafsplein from Oct. 3 to 6 under the name NTTent. The tent will be a place for radical imagination: the new artistic direction and the NTGent-makers will devise a shared future we have yet to learn with partners.
The complete program for NTTent will be announced in early September, but already make a note of Oct. 5: that day, we celebrate not only BERLIN's 20th anniversary but also NTGent's 60th anniversary and Schouwburg's 125th.
